Your best friend calls you and tells you he/she's really sick? How do you show you care? Every time I sit down to put some thought to a blog recently, I always seem to start with where has the time gone! It’s the longest day three weeks today, we are already half way through the year, and I have been completely rubbish all year at keeping this up to date!

I’m not saying that this is a new lease of life or time management but it’s a good start!

There has been lots going on here recently. A new shed, an extension, exciting new projects and sad farewells different parts of things that we have run successfully for the last few years. It seems to us, well to me really, that we have come full circle in the lifetime of our work in Cornwall. When we started, it was difficult to get anyone to look at the high street as a whole – now we not only have the formidable Mary Portas taking up the fight on behalf of the government, but the local council is looking into ways to regenerate our high streets across Cornwall, in a bid to make them more profitable. I’m not sure how either initiative will work – but I am pleased to see that finally people are coming around to our way of thinking!

For those of you that are interested our interim project, that will be running in Truro throughout the summer is called My24/truro. It’s for designers, producers, makers and retailers living or working in the town – for more information drop me an email jclake@cornwall-learning-partnership.org

I’ll attempt another blog later this week!!
